
This is the 5th year we have played our parts in the Fatal Lozenge, the Listing Attic, the Sinking Spell, and The Evil Garden. We recite in the dark by the enormous 17th century fountain on the North Vista,

(please see my July 31st post for more about my emotional, sentimental attatchment to this breathtaking place)

then for the Evil Garden we lead guests about 10 at at a time, through the garden path as we act out the rhymes.
I know, terrible, horrible, unthinkable brilliant dark humor. The Huntington charges $30 per ticket,(and sells out every year)it's culture, baby!

We enjoyed a visit this afternoon.
The ballroom is filled with the scent of gingerbread, as the party ensues, and upon the table lies a gingerbread coffin, with a gingerdracula who rises up to greet the guests. Loved it all. There were a few other new small additions, too.
